These are the default Spotify keyboard shortcuts on macOS, taken from Spotify's official keyboard shortcuts page. The list is genuinely short: Spotify keeps playback on unmodified keys - Space to play or pause, M to mute - and puts almost everything else behind Option Shift combinations, which is why the navigation shortcuts look so different from the rest of the Mac. If an action isn't on Spotify's official list, it has no default binding.

Why does Spotify have so few keyboard shortcuts?
Because most of Spotify's surface is a browsable catalogue rather than a set of commands - there isn't much to bind. The official list covers playback, library navigation, and search, and that's genuinely all of it. If an action you want isn't here, it has no default shortcut, and Spotify's desktop app has no built-in shortcut editor to add one.
Do Spotify's media keys work when the app is in the background?
The physical media keys on a Mac keyboard (play/pause, next, previous) control Spotify system-wide, but the in-app shortcuts on this page only apply when Spotify has focus. That's the usual reason Space appears to stop working - the keypress is going to whatever window is actually in front.
Why do some Spotify shortcuts use Option and Shift together?
Spotify reserves plain and ⌘-based chords for the standard Mac commands and its own playback controls, so the navigation shortcuts get pushed onto Option Shift combinations - Option Shift 1 through 5 for the library sections, Option Shift H for Home. It's an unusual scheme, and it's why they're hard to guess and worth looking up once.
